Subsequently, the actress attained mainstream stardom after starring in the sci-fi action film Total Recall and achieved a widespread degree of international prominence in the erotic thriller Basic Instinct, for which she was awarded a Golden Globe Award.

Other notable films in which Stone starred were Silver, The Specialist, The Quick and the Dead, Last Dance, Sphere, Catwoman, Broken Flowers, and Basic Instinct, among others.

Just like her mom, actress Dorothy Stone, Sharon possesses sophisticated beauty. Her mother debuted on Broadway in 1923 in Jerome Kern’s Stepping Stones with her father, Fred Stone. Dorothy was a big hit in the show, with The New York Times reported that the audience was cheering for her even before the first act was over.
