Barbara Walters – Born In 1929

Barbara Walters has been a prominent figure in American television for more than half of her life, but she certainly does not look a day older than when she first started her career in 1951. Barbara was born in 1929 to Jewish immigrant parents. She spent most of her life in Boston, where she would accompany her father as he went about business. Unlike the rest of her family, Barbara’s father set aside his investment money into establishing his own booking agency.

Because of this, he was able to expose his children to the entertainment industry at such a young age.

This experience later became useful to Barbara as it shaped her calm and sophisticated aura in the presence of big celebrities. After gaining prominence in the 1970s for part of The Today Show, Barbara went on to have one of the most successful careers in the industry. This year will mark Barbara’s 91sth year, but she is still as graceful as she was almost 70 years ago.
