From here, the actor got the better of the silver screen, leading the box-office hit movie Saturday Night Fever and Grease. Although he seemed to be out of the spotlight in the 1990s, John once again made it big in the 1990s in the Quentin Tarantino movie Pulp Fiction. His fame once again soared up high to a degree, doing films after films, like Get Shorty, Broken Arrow, Face/Off, and many more.

With his excellent acting talent came a lot of praises. He received a lot of nominations and awards from the most prestigious award-giving bodies in the business.
