VANESSA PARADIS – BORN 1972

Vanessa Paradis had had an ageless look for decades, to the point where it’s easy to forget the singer-turned-actor initially rose to fame when she was just 14. She became a movie star, a fashion icon, a Chanel fixture, and the mother of another movie star. She soared through it all with her indelible credits, which she handed to Lily-Rose Depp, the lookalike daughter.

Paradis sparked a career that included acting, modeling, and other creative endeavors that propelled the French native to international stardom. She made her cinematic debut in 1989 with Noce Blanche, followed by Variations sur le Même T’Aime in 1990. She concentrated on movies in the second half of the 1990s. Her most well-known worldwide performance was in Patrice Leconte’s 1999 remake of a 1951 film, Girl on the Bridge. When this picture was released, Paradis was romantically involved with American actor Johnny Depp.
