Chaka Khan – Born in 1953

Funk band singer Yvette Marie Stevens, more popularly known as Chaka Khan, is also a songwriter. She is one of the biggest names that the American music industry has ever had. Her five decades of making good music gained her several awards. She sold more than 70 million records worldwide with which she earned big bucks and could even afford insurance for her voice- if there was such a thing! She became a renowned artist who garnered many awards because of her amazing work.
