Born as Loletha Elaine Falana in September 1942, this American artist is better known as Lola Falana. The multi-talented American singer, dancer, model, and actress reportedly left home as a teenager to try her luck in the entertainment industry. Luckily, she found it! Falana was among the highest-paid entertainers in Las Vegas. This amazing artist was a showgirl for Saturday night’s main televising show, Sabato sera with the ever-talented singer, Mina. Known as the Black Venus, she was unstoppable and kept on bringing the heat on stage in every performance that she was on.

She also appeared on the TV shows The New Bill Cosby Show, Cos and Ben Vereen… Comin’ at Ya.

Today, she is still considered one of the most beautiful artists that ever graced the stage of Vegas. Looking back at the days when she almost got personal loans while sleeping in subways as she sought her fortune in Hollywood, we’re glad to see how far she has come.
