Michael J.Fox – Born in 1961
Canadian actor Michael J. Fox is best known for his role as Marty McFly in the 1985 science-fiction trilogy movie Back to the Future. This iconic and classic film took his career to the next level. He appeared in other movies like Teen World, Light of Day, and Life with Mikey. He then appeared in TV shows, including Scrubs and Spin City, of which he won three Emmy Awards and a Golden Globe.
In 1991, at age 29, Fox was diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease. The actor turned to alcohol for a time but was, fortunately, able to turn things around before they got out of hand. He launched a foundation to support other people afflicted with the same disease. Presently, Fox still appears on TV while he continues to battle his disease and recently opened up about his new spinal cord problem. Hopefully, his insurance will help cover some of his treatment.
