Amaya Josephine Hermann And Mariska Hargitay

With both of her parents being experienced actors, it’s no surprise Mariska Hargitay eventually followed in their footsteps. Born on January 23, 1964, Hargitay got her first film credit back in 1985 for that year’s horror flick Ghoulies. Since then, she has dabbled in other endeavors under the spotlight and earned a couple of awards, including a Golden Globe and a Primetime Emmy.

Besides acting, though, the Law & Order star is a loving mother to her three kids, one of whom is her adopted daughter, Amaya Josephine Hermann. For her decision to adopt, Hargitay thanks her mother for showing her that a family is more than just a group of people linked together biologically. After all, a strong, positive, and wholesome bond is what keeps a family united. Since she’s still an adorable little girl, who knows what Amaya may want to be in the future? Perhaps she might even decide to become an actress like her parents.
