The Queens native had a breakthrough role in the 1980s romantic comedy Coming to America and has since gone on to become a well-known television star. Shari Headley made her acting debut in the hit film as Eddie Murphy’s reluctant love interest Lisa McDowell. After this project, she played a small role in the iconic sitcom The Cosby Show. For the next decade, she primarily worked on the small screen, appearing in everything – from Walker, Texas Ranger to music videos for rap artists like Will Smith and Blackstreet.

Some celebrities tend to come and go, but Headley has been around for a long time. In reality, she has kept herself very busy over the years, appearing in various series and strutting her career investments as much as possible.
