DEBBIE HARRY

Her platinum blonde locks, grungy outfits, and graphic make-up helped Debbie Harry stand out from the crowd during the 80s. However, her role as lead vocalist for the band Blondie cemented her music industry status. Blondie’s music topped charts in both the US and the UK from 1979, all the way to 2017. Some of their most popular hits include “Heart of Glass”, “The Tide is High”, and “Rapture”.

She made her solo debut in 1981 during Blondie’s hiatus and found much success. In fact, she later ventured into the acting industry and had a role in David Cronenberg’s Videodrome.

Harry’s artistry remains unchanged throughout the decades. Blondie’s 2017 album “Pollinator” was well-received and so was Harry’s memoir, Face It. The book gave fans a revealing look at the singer’s youth—from being broke and needing money loans to finally finding success.
