TINA LOUISE
Tina Louise is best known as Ginger Grant from the popular CBS show Gilligan’s Island. Her career started in the mid-50s, and while it took her a while to get a breakthrough role, the wait was well worth it. In 1958, she appeared in the film God’s Little Acre and was honored with a Golden Globe Award for New Star of the Year for her performance. Since then, she has continuously landed roles in many big productions.
That includes The Hangman, The Trap, For Those Who Think Young, and Day of The Outlaw. She was also in Stepford Wives, released in 1975.
Like many actresses in her generation, Louise also recorded and released a relatively successful album. It contained 12 tracks, such as “I’m in the Mood for Love” and “Tonight is the Night.” Both received a fair degree of success.
