PETER KAY – $70 MILLION

Initially taking up comedy work as a part-time gig, Peter Kay became famous immediately. He won the North West Comedian of the Year award right away, encouraging him to do more. Eventually, his profile was raised after winning the So You Think You’re Funny contest in 1997. He later co-wrote and became the main man in his own show, That Peter Kay Thing, which aired on Channel 4 in the UK.
