JOHN HURT – $30 MILLION

Next up on our list of Hollywood veterans is British actor John Hurt. Hurt hails from Chesterfield, Derbyshire, in England. Hurt lived a very colorful personal life and a fruitful career. He’s undoubtedly one of the most decorated veteran actors in the industry with multiple high-profile awards, including a BAFTA, two Academy Awards nominations, a Golden Globe, and several other awards.

John Hurt’s first breakout role was in the film A Man for All Seasons in 1966. He then appeared for various films over his six-decade career.

The younger generation probably recognizes him for his role in Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone, where he played the wandmaker, Mr. Ollivander. He later returned to the franchise for Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows 1 &2. Sir John Hurt had an impressive legacy and multiple profitable investments to his name, but as with the nature of men, Sir John Vincent Hurt passed away on January 25, 2017, at the age of 77.
