JAY LENO – EST. $450 MILLION

He’s considered one of the greatest late-night talk show hosts, but Jay Leno actually did stand-up comedy for quite some time before landing his Tonight Show gig. NBC’s The Tonight Show with Jay Leno was on-air from 1992 to 2009. This was then followed by The Jay Leno Show. He permanently retired from the show in 2014, the same year he was also inducted to the Television Hall of Fame.

With all the success he has earned throughout his career, he didn’t achieve any of these in one night.

He tells CNBC Make It that he wasn’t a millionaire when he started, but he discovered the key to getting rich early was creating multiple ways of earning money. From the moment Jay started working, he always had at least two ways of making money. Since leaving, the host has been working on Jay Leno’s Garage. The web series focuses on his other passion: cars. He does reviews and features his car investments, along with other collections that interest him.
