Richard Gere – Born In 1949

Even during his childhood, Richard Gere was already quite a talented fellow. Throughout his high school years, he showcased a knack for gymnastics and also had a love for music. Not long after, though, he discovered a passion for acting and eventually made his way to the theater scene, with his first major acting gig being the stage adaptation of Grease.

After polishing and improving in his craft, Gere soon landed on-screen projects. Of course, like most of his colleagues, he started with fairly small roles, though that didn’t stop him from giving it his all. One such example would be his performance in Looking for Mr. Goodbar. Since then, he has starred in films such as Pretty Woman, Sommersby, and Chicago. His work as the lawyer Billy Flynn earned him a Golden Globe Award for the last-mentioned movie.
