It might surprise you to learn that actress Jodie Foster started acting at three years old. She made her debut in 1968 in the television series Mayberry R.F.D. The actress hasn’t slowed down since then, and by the 70s, she was already work in films. Foster first got the opportunity to work with Martin Scorsese in the movie Alice Doesn’t Live Here Anymore.

The same director would later cast her in the film Taxi Driver, which also served as her breakthrough role. For her performance, she received a nomination for an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress.

However, even an actress as successful as her experienced career setbacks, including her production company’s shutdown in the early 2000s. Fortunately, she was able to bounce back and avoid needing loans. Currently, she is focusing more on directing for popular shows such as Orange Is the New Black and Hotel Artemis.
