LARRY BIRD AND MARIAH BIRD
Long-time fans of basketball and the NBA have undoubtedly seen more than a few skilled players showcase their abilities on the court through the years. While some have already retired and said their goodbyes to the sport, there’s no denying that their achievements have left an impact and continue to influence and inspire new generations of players. With that said, one such basketballer that has garnered a high degree of recognition is Larry Bird.
Beginning his career in the NBA in 1979, he spent all his tenure playing for the Boston Celtics. Since then, he has dabbled in other activities, including a three-year stint coaching for the Indiana Pacers. Outside basketball, he is a father of three kids, one of which is his adopted daughter Mariah. Opting for a more low-profile lifestyle, she is an Event Management, Tourism, and Hospitality graduate. She has established a career as an event coordinator—though she also has a real estate license.
