JONATHAN OSTEEN AND JOEL OSTEEN

Joel Osteen has been one of the most recognizable evangelists in America. He has been preaching after taking over his father’s duties in 1999. His sermons have reached tens of millions worldwide through his Lakewood Church, founded by his father John in 1959. Today, Joel seems to be interested in passing the torch to his son, Jonathan. A graduate of the University of Texas, Jonathan is Joel’s son with his wife of more than 30 years, Victoria.

Throughout his life, Jonathan grew up under his father’s church. He credits this time for his desire to become a pastor like his dad. He has already done some sermon work, offering some to youth members of Lakewood Church on Sunday nights. Jonathan has maintained a close relationship with his father and has been public about his love for his job.
