Even during his childhood, Andrew Garfield was already quite a performer, not to mention a pretty skilled swimmer and gymnast. Although he initially opted to study business, he ultimately shifted his sights to acting. Like many of his colleagues, his earlier gigs were for stage productions and TV shows. One of his notable small-screen projects was the TV film Boy A, which earned him a British Academy Television Award for Best Actor.

Nowadays, though, it’s no secret that Garfield has become a pretty famous actor. For one, he has landed the chance to give his own spin on the iconic comic book character Spider-Man, having portrayed the character in three films. Besides this stint in the superhero genre, Garfield has also garnered widespread praise and recognition for his acting credit in movies such as Hacksaw Ridge, Silence, The Social Network, and Tick, Tick… Boom!, the latter earned him a Golden Globe Award for Best Actor.
